Planning Your Visit

At over 8,000 square feet, The Rifle Heritage Center and Museum is the largest of its kind in Garfield County. The museum is housed in a historic two-story building that was built in 1952. Everyone has their own speed with which they like to partake in our exhibits, but a two-hour time frame is a good estimate. Tours can be self-guided, or if you would like, a volunteer would be happy to walk along with you to answer questions and give a more personal feel to your tour.

We are excited that our jail exhibit can be seen if you call ahead to make sure that a volunteer is available to take you though the exhibit.

PLEASE TAKE NOTE: Unfortunately, we do not have an elevator in our building. The upper floor is accessible only by a wide interior stairway at the South end of our building. Please keep this in mind if you have mobility issues.
