About Us

"To preserve, present and promote the history and heritage of Rifle, Colorado"

This is much more than just our mission statement; this is our passion.

For over 50 years, The Rifle Heritage Center and Museum (formally known as the Rifle Creek Museum) has been educating both locals and visitors alike on the rich and vibrant past of Rifle, CO.

Founded in 1967, our museum holds within its walls hundreds of exhibits that tell the tales of our pioneers.  We encourage you to come visit us, take a tour through our comprehensive displays, and learn about the people and events that made our town what it is today.

The Rifle Heritage Center and Museum is a 401(c) not-for-profit organization, formed strictly for the preservation of Rifle's history and the education of others.  We rely solely on the generosity of our members and visitors for funding of the day-to-day costs incurred with our museum.
